Quick Pictures

Sister Cobabe's one year anniversary pictures.

Guess who had a great week?

Guess who had a great week? THIS MISSIONARY DID! Heavenly Father answered our prayers, and now we have a new investigator!

So we've been praying for a new investigator right? Well Saturday we got a phone call to visit this one lady, so we did and she wasn't home. Sad right? Well, the next day, Sunday, we decided to fast and pray that we would have someone to teach.
Anyways, we went to visit someone after church who of course wasn't home, when we got the feeling to visit the referral we received on Saturday.. So we did! And guess what! We found Lupe! (loo-pay) Lupe was taught by missionaries a year ago and wanted to be baptized but ended up moving and loosing contact with missionaries and with the church. Somehow, I'm not sure how, she contacted someone who talked to us and sent her to her home.
After talking to Lupe, she told us she wants to be baptized! She doesn't want to set a date yet though because she wants to make sure shes going to church first before she commits to anything.
Miracle? I think YES! Our prayers have been answered! This is such a blessing! I'm so thankful!

We also have a mother and daughter that we should be able to start teaching! How great is that? Hopefully next week I'll have more to say about them, but please pray that all goes well with these people! We're so excited and thankful. I KNOW that Heavenly Father answers prayers. He knows our needs, and is preparing so many blessings! All we have to do is trust him, and do what he says!
I just love my life.

We've also been working on trying to visit some former investigators, so far none of them want to meet with us anymore, which is why they were dropped, but they're pretty kind to us!  So that's another blessing!

Sister Cobabe hit her one year mark this week, so that was pretty exciting! We didn't really do anything fun for it though.. I think we just ate ice cream.. Which we do most of the time anyways! But She's a pretty cool missionary! I love her a lot!

We also did service this week! One day we worked on some yard work, and pulled out a ton of grass! The sister was scared that it would catch fire.. So we tore it all out. That was pretty fun!
We also did service with the G. family! AKA the snake family! They're redoing their floors, so we got to help with that some more! We tore out a bunch of stuff, I felt pretty manly with my hammer! Hahaha, it was great.

So funny moment of the week!
So I woke up in the middle of the night to hear Sister Cobabe sleep talking. Fist she yelled "I feel like I'm in a cocoon!" Then a little while later she yelled out "The trash cans! We're looking for green stuff!" And then she started singing there is sunshine in my soul. If you haven't listened to that song, go to lds.org and look it up. It's pretty hilarious.
Anyways, all on one night she was talking, yelling, and singing. It was hilarious to tell her about it the next morning!

Anyways, I'm super excited for this upcoming week! I sure love y'all and hope y'all have a great week!! What have y'all been studying lately? How's the weather back home? Any fun summer plans? I sure love letters and hearing from everyone! Keep working hard!
Love y'all!!

A Slow Week

Hello! So this week was pretty boring.. Nothing super exciting happened! So this email may be super short.. Sorry!

But this week was good! We've been working a lot with the members in our area, and the more I get to know these people, the more I just love them! I love walking away from someones home and just feeling love for them!

We had Stake Conference this weekend! So all the congregations in the Ontario area come together to learn, and to be more united, and to learn more of Christ.
This Conference we had Elder Johnson of the 70 come, and another member of the 70, I can't remember his name.. But he was pretty cool!
They talked a lot on how when someone receives a calling in the church, it's from God. Not from man! And it made me think about me being on a mission. Missionaries are Called of God, we have a letter from a Prophet of God, and we have been set apart by the Priesthood to be representatives of Jesus Christ. How great is that? I'm SO thankful to be a missionary. It's a privilege and a blessing.

We did some more service this week! We helped the Grumbles move all their furniture! They'er redoing their floors, so we moved all their shelves and couches! It was so nice being able to lift things and feel my muscles! I miss having real workouts! But it was so great!

Like I said, this week was pretty slow.. We're really looking for someone to teach! So pray that we can find someone! I know that someone is being prepared to receive the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I can't wait to find this person!

Funny moment of the week:
So Sister Cobabe and I were driving down the road this morning, and we saw two guys in white shirts on bikes, it must be the missionaries right? So we decided since we were driving on the same road as them that we would honk and wave to say hello! So we got closer, and Sister Cobabe was waving, only to realize that they weren't the missionaries we thought!!! They were two random guys on bikes. Haha, they looked confused when they saw two girls waving at them.. Woops.. Haha, it was great!

Anyways, I'm out of things to say! D: But I sure do love y'all! I'm so thankful for all the support each of you give me! I'm so blessed to be a missionary! I pray for y'all all the time!
Keep up the great work!

Love y'all! Have a great week!

A Baptism And A Trip To The ER

What a week!! Ohmygoodness gracious.

First off, transfers came! Sister Cobabe and I are together for another transfer, and guess what else! We're getting Elders in our ward! Which is pretty cool, we haven't had Elders in a few years.. So this is going to be pretty interesting!

We also had Zone Conference this week! Which is when all the missionaries in two areas (in our case) get together and have some training's for about six hours! It was SO great! We talked a lot about how we need to have patience and persistence, and about our Savior, Jesus Christ. We talked about how he knows us personally, and how the Atonement of Jesus Christ is SO applicable to EVERY SINGLE PERSON. He knows each of us, and wants each of us to succeed! How great is that?
I love being a missionary!

We also had Ernie's baptism this week!! We believe that we must be baptized by immersion by someone holding the Priesthood, which the Priesthood is the power and authority to act in God's name. So when we're baptized, we enter into a covenant with God, we promise to take upon Christs name, and to serve those around us, really to be a better person. In return, God promises us to forgive all our sins. Those sins can be washed away during baptism! Pretty amazing.
Watching Ernie get baptized was pretty flipping sweet! When he came out of the water, he had the biggest smile I've ever seen! Not just a smile because he was happy, but it was such a pure smile! We could just see in his eyes, SO much relief that has been lifted away from him. It was extremely humbling being able to see his progression, it's such a blessing to be a missionary! I just love it!

We also had a surprise service project! Haha, it's a pretty long story, but we ended up painting a big room! It doesn't sound like it would be a big project but goodness gracious. It was long. But it was so great! The lady we helped was so thankful that we came!

I also went to the E.R. again this week.. That was fun! Eye issues are the best. Maybe one day I wont be injured or have things go wrong with my head! ;) But I'm being blessed in SO many ways!

Welp. I guess that's about it.. Haha, but this week was so great! I love this gospel. In just a few words, it gives be peace, it gives me joy, it gives me happiness, I love sharing it with everyone I see, and everyone I know. It's a blessing to have it in my life.

So for the funny moment of the week!
We were at a members home for a lesson, and they have a daughter that's about 5-6? I'm not entirely sure.
But we were talking with everyone after the lesson was over, and all the sudden, she stands up and yells "HEY EVERYONE! LET'S PLAY DEAD!" and falls to the ground!!! It was SO funny! I probably shouldn't think it was so funny, but it was!

I sure do love y'all! Thank you so much for all the support y'all send me! I love getting letters and emails, even if I can't respond to each of them, they make me happy!
I love y'all so much! I hope y'all have a great week!!<3

A Quick Note

Goodness gracious this week was good! I have zero time today though, so this may be short! But just know that there are so many blessings all around us!
We had more people reject us, we had one lady drive up to us and tell us to get out of the area.. So that was fun!

So huge blessing! Ernie is getting baptized THIS Saturday!!!! I'm so excited!! It's such a blessing to be able to see how far he's come and how much he's grown! I love being a missionary!

I think we tried visiting pretty much everyone in our area this week and nobody was home.. So that was fun! We walked a lot this week, so I got some pretty awesome blisters and shinsplints! It was great! I felt like a missionary!

So pretty cool experience happened this week, so we were walking right? Well we were in the park one day, and we said hello to this one lady, and guess what! She's been looking for more peace and direction in her life, we ended up giving her the first lesson on the spot, and she was so excited! She wants the missionaries to teach her and her sister! But unfortunately she lives outside our area, so we can't teach her.. But it was so great seeing Heavenly Father place someone in our path to talk to! Such a blessing!

So funny moment of the week! We went to visit a less active member, so we knocked on her door, and this old man opens the door, and immediately tells us to come in! Without us introducing ourselves, so of course it was kinda creepy, so we said no, and introduced ourselves, as soon as he found out who we were, he was super sketch and wouldn't tell us his name, and kept giving us a weird look.
It was just super funny because as soon as he found out who we were, he wanted us to leave!
I guess you had to be there... We walked away laughing pretty hard.

Anyways, I love y'all!! Thank you for all of your prayers and letters! I love y'all so much!! Have a great week!!

Hello Family!

Hello there family! This week was great! I pretty much told you everything yesterday when I got to Skype y'all!!! What a blessing that was! It was great being able to talk to y'all!

Like I said, this week was great! We didn't get to meet with a lot of people because they weren't home, but it was still a great week!

Ernie is still progressing, and is still scheduled to be baptized on the 31st! Woohoo! He's such a great guy!

We're really looking to find people to teach right now, we spend a lot of time looking for people when we could be using that time to teach! But I'm praying that this week we will find someone! I feel it in my heart that this week will be great! I can't wait to tell y'all about it!

I really don't have a lot else to say! I said everything yesterday D: But please keep praying that we can find someone to teach! I know that they're out there, we just need to find them! I'm so thankful to be a missionary, to be able to see so many people come closer to Christ, and to see so many people being blessed!! There are so many blessings that come from being a member of this Church, I don't have any idea why people wouldn't want to be apart of if! I just love it!

Thank you for so many prayers! I feel them daily, I know that God listens to them and answers them!!

So the funny moment of the week! I don't remember if I told it to y'all yesterday or not, but here it is!
So we were teaching a family right? Well for whatever reason Little Manny (he's about 8) comes over to me and touches my hair because we told him it was soft.. Anyways, he touches in and yells out "IT'S LIKE CAT FURR!!!" hahaha! Apparently my hair is as soft as a cat!
It was pretty hilarious.

Anyways, I love y'all so much!! Thank you for all of the love and support each of you give me! I'm praying for everyone back home!!

Keep up the good work y'all! If you have any questions, please ask!
Love y'all!!!

Better Week Than Last

Hello there! How are y'all?? This week was much better than last! Not that last week was bad.. But it went a lot smoother.

But fo real. This week was great!! Last Monday night we took the G. family on a tour of the church building and introduced them to some members of the church and guess what!! It went perfectly!!! They invited everyone over for dinner the next day! What a miracle!! And guess what else! THEY CAME TO CHURCH!!! First time in 6 years!! I was so excited! Plus they loved it, so that was a good sign!! They said that they want to come next week as well! So many blessings! Missionaries have been working with this family for so long, and now seeing them come to church, was pretty amazing! It just reminded me that even though I don't always see the fruit of my labors, it doesn't mean I'm not planting seeds!

Also on Monday, I killed my first road kill. It was a bird.. And I cried.. It was pretty traumatizing! Now I keep seeing dead birds.. I think it's haunting me or something! D:

Anyways.. Haha, I just had to tell y'all! ;) This week was super windy too!! There were a lot of roads closed, and a ton of trees that were down.. Plus fires! So that was pretty eventful! We ended up being able to talk to a lot more people because of that, so it was a pretty sweet blessing!!

We taught Ernie some more this week! He's doing so great!! He's keeping his commitments, and is on date to be baptized on the 31st of this month!! He came to church this week too!!! It was the first time he's come! So that was extremely exciting!!

We also taught Donna, we found and saved her dog a week ago.. Her lesson went alright, we'll have to pass her off to some other missionaries though, so that's a bit of a bummer! We keep finding all of these GREAT investigators! But we can't teach them for various reasons.. So I'm praying that we can find more people for US to teach!!

Sister Cobabe and I are getting along pretty great! She's a great person! Last night we just sat in the car when we came home and just sang church songs for like 10 minutes. Hahaha, it was great!!

I sure do love being a missionary!! I love how even when days are rough, and don't go as planned, there's a miracle in everyday!! I'm so thankful so be able to see Gods hand in SO MANY THINGS! He's truly aware of everything that we are going through! He knows us personally, and had placed us in families, and areas for a specific reason. We have so many blessings that we don't even think about!! It's pretty humbling to be a missionary, and I just love it!

So now onto the funny moment of the week!! Best part of the email right? ;)
So, most of my funny moments are have to be there moments.. But Aurora just told me a hilarious joke that I'll share!
What do you call a fake noodle??
AN IMPASTA!! HA! I thought it was pretty hilarious!!
